Kinistino is situated in north-central Saskatchewan. It lies on rich agricultural soil in the valley of the Carrot River which flows a mere mile east of the town.Kinistino is located 30 kilometres northwest of the City of Melfort on provincial highway #3, and is approximately 62 kilometres southeast of Prince Albert.
