Northumberland Grain was founded exclusively as a grain elevator by Robert Elliott in 1980. Initially, the facility had a grain storage capacity of 1000 MT and could dry 200 bu/hr; corn comprising 90% of the business. In 1984, Dexter Harder became a shareholder and in July 1996, a three-way partnership was formed between Agrico-Robert L. Whitelaw, Dexter & Karen Harder and Ben Currelly-Ganaraska Grain. Marketing from Northumberland Grain Belleville extends from Trenton to Gananaque south to Prince Edward County and north to New Liskeard. Trained agronomist are on the road travelling to farms selling products and providing agronomic support. We market all crop inputs. We are dealers for Mycogen, Dekalb and General Seeds. Northumberland Grain Belleville is proud to be leaders in Edible Bean Production as the Eastern Ontario satellite for Hensall District Co-op providing production and marketing contracts as well as crop management, to this ever increasing market.
