That Opasatika is a First Nation name that means'river lined with poplars'. Centrally located in Northern Ontario, Opasatika has a catchment population of approximately 25,000 northerners living in small communities clustered in a 100 kilometre radius. For 85 years, the forest industry has kept alive this friendly community of 214 residents.
