But, as anybody who has worked both sides of the street knows, it ain't necessarily so.From an academic point, I knew that. But from practical experience, I can now personally attest to it. I spent more than ten years in creative and strategic marketing and I am now involved daily in sales.Marketing is not Sales (and vice versa)Marketing's job is to create the demand. And, it supports sales with creative marketing collateral, for instance ads, brochures, websites. Sales is all about the 'now' making the close, inking the deal, getting the cheque.As a digital magazine publisher, I've got my fingers on two buttons: content and sales.
