The Lunenburg Heritage Society was formed in 1972 as a registered charity with a mission to save Lunenburg's unique architecture. While continuing to advocate for historic building conservation, the Society has grown to preserve and promote the full diversity of Lunenburg's cultural and natural heritage. From Mi'kmaw habitation to the Acadian and Foreign Protestant settlements through Confederation. we tell Lunenburg's story. Nova Scotia's heritage strategy provides the integrated vision and framework for this undertaking.
