Darcy Schmidt was involved in well drilling and pump repair at a very early age. He assisted with drilling water wells and repairing pump systems as a youngster, and eventually moved into a full-time position with Schmidt Drilling Ltd. in 1978. A few years later he became one of the first people to complete the journeyman water well apprenticeship program. After years of success, Darcy became the President of Schmidt Drilling Ltd. until it was sold in 2005. Continuing with the exceptionally successful family-owned and -operated business model, Darcy Schmidt founded Darcy's Drilling Services Ltd. Along with the additional leadership and experience of Michael Schmidt, Tasha Lydom, and Cara Schmidt, our full service water well company continues to grow and succeed. Recently, Darcy's Drilling Services Ltd. expanded into Drayton Valley Area, after purchasing water well equipment from Morrill's Water Well Drilling.
